ISLAND SWEAT FITNESS (ISF) will close its virtual doors in October 2021.

ISF's VIRTUAL doors opened on October 10th, 2020 World Mental Health Day. Highlights for the past year include:-

  • Over 120 virtual classes completed

  • A record 114 participants in our virtual Carnival Step Fitness Class by the phenomenal Nina Cooper

  • Two custom ISF Mixes on Sound Cloud curated by DJ Mr. Mejustik #TheHeavyHittersSJs #TeamSocaDJs

  • Corporate Collaborations with Manulife Financial and Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN)

  • Collectively raised over $2500 CND in charity events towards the Ernestine's Women's & Children's Shelter, the St Vincent La Soufrière Volcano Relief, and the Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief

  • Charity Collaborations with other small businesses such as The Hitching Post Craft Co, GETMAD Steps, and Aleshia Ali

  • Featured by Elpizo Counselling Services Magazine Issue 1 - Diverse Women in Health & Wellness, The First Step Page, and The “Wellness & Resiliency in the Black Community” event by Sheridan College

All of this by a small, mental health-focused, Caribbean music-only gym, in only ONE YEAR! My heart overflows with gratitude for the love and support received by this unconventional brand.  However, some things must come to an end. Things have changed over the past few months leading me to make the difficult and painful decision to close ISF  and move on to a different venture. I remain grateful for everything ISF has accomplished and will cherish the memories of the past year.

Love, light, and positive vibrations,

Sue ❤️💛💚
